If you had asked me a week ago if I would blog about vitamins and how I boost my immune system – I wouldn’t have believed you. it’s incredible how much can change in 7 days, but here we are starting a whole new week of encouraging the majority of society to say at home and self-isolate.
I’ve been posting daily updates on my Instagram story about how Nick and I are adjusting to a life where #socialdistancing has become the new normal. Thankfully, Nick’s company made the decision on Friday to let all employees work from home indefinitely, allowing him to stay safely in our flat with me, and I couldn’t be happier. All day last week I was nervous thinking about his daily train and underground rides to and from the city.
Now we have decided to stay in our flat in Jersey City. I would love nothing more than to go to my grandparents’ home in Pennsylvania, but their health comes first and we don’t want to risk spreading any germs to them right now. Our plan is to put ourselves in self-quarantine for at least a week to see how we feel, and then head to our home again to ride out the storm.
If the coronavirus does spread in your community, you can read more about how best to prepare + protect your family on the CDC website here: https: //www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prepare/index.html
As nothing is more important than health and safety at this time, I thought it was appropriate to share the vitamins I have been taking to boost my immune system and provide my body with the nutrients it needs as my child grows ? I have been taking a lot of vitamins since my first pregnancy.
In fact, I started taking all these supplements early in my pregnancy and the only change I have made recently is to increase my dose of vitamin C.
Disclaimer: My OBGYN approved the supplements and doses I am taking, but please always consult your own doctor first and do your own research. I also make no claims that any of these vitamins can prevent or treat coronavirus – I took all of these supplements prior to the outbreak.
