Can you believe that Nate is almost 4 months old? It seems like just yesterday we brought him home, but at the same time it feels like he’s always been a part of our lives. Does that make sense? Haha.
You all got a sneak peek at Nate’s nursery when I shared our baby registry in August, but it wasn’t until a few weeks later that the rooms fully blended together. It’s a good thing Nate wasn’t early, because I waited until the last minute!

Our goal for his nursery was to create a bright, cheerful place, but still suitable for small flat living. If you recognise this room, it’s because it used to be my office/closet. When we found out we were pregnant we quickly had to adapt and I had to do some major condensing, but we did it! I now keep most of my clothes and accessories on the first panel of the IKEA built in system, you can see this separate coat rack on the left side of the room and my shoe wall which I showed you in this post.

When choosing Nate’s baby furniture, our first consideration was versatility. This flat is not our forever home (our lease is due to expire at the beginning of 2021) so we were specifically looking for a cot and glider chair to use around the house when we move. I immediately fell in love with this classic white convertible cot from Million Dollar Baby Classic (which converts into a toddler bed!) and the recliner (where we spent hours breastfeeding + reading). Both are top quality and will be with us for many years to come!

Things I love: bright colours, personalised decorations and stuffed animals. Obviously I had to go all out for my baby! During my pregnancy I started ordering stuffed animals like crazy …… This brand makes the softest, cutest animals! Some of my other favourite decorations in his room are this custom wooden name sign, his hanging elephant mobile and my mum’s handmade embroidered blanket!
